I am a first year PhD student at the University of Warwick based at the Materials and Analytical Sciences centre as part of the Chemistry department. I joined the Senn group in December 2019 and my research focuses on tuning the composition and tolerance factor of n=1 and n=2 Ruddlesden-Popper phases to optimise thermoelectric transport in these materials.
I did both my BSc and MRes at the University of Kent. My final year BSc project was in ternary Metal-Organic Frameworks with Dr Paul Saines, where I tried to make materials that had amines in the A-site pores which could give rise to ferroelectric ordering. My MRes project was done under Dr Emma McCabe, and focused on turning octahedral tilts in layered perovskite-related structures.
