Fernando joined to the group in October 2018 as a postdoctoral fellow. He completed his PhD entitle “New materials with potential magnetoelectric properties: Influence of the d and f cations” at National University of Córdoba (Argentina).
In 2018 he was awarded with the WIRL-COFUND fellow (Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions) of the Institute of Advanced Study of the University of Warwick and during the following two years he worked with the Senn Group at the Department of Chemistry in a very original and innovative project, primarily aiming to provide vital proof that materials, specially perovskites, with physical properties as complex as magnetoelectricity can be designed using a symmetry based approach.
