    PhD Student
I am a second-year PhD student, co-funded by the University of Warwick and ISIS, the UK Neutron and Muon Source. My research focusses on the investigation of pressure-tuning of order-disorder behaviour in functional materials, for example, ferroelectrics or superconductors. I use synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction techniques to study their structure-property relationships, with a specific focus on high-pressure measurements on beamlines such as PEARL, the dedicated high-pressure beamline at ISIS. Since the determination of local (and average structure) is important for understanding structure-property relationships, I utilise local structure techniques and analyse the data using a symmetry-based approach which provides key insight into these functional materials.
