Christopher Keegan

I am a first-year PhD student on the CDT in Theory and Simulation of Materials at Imperial College London. I am jointly supervised by Mark Senn, Arash Mostofi at Imperial College London and Nicholas Bristowe at the University of Kent. The aim of my research is to understand the link between symmetry-breaking distortions and superconductivity in layered oxides. I use first- and second-principles methods to model the atomic and electronic structure of these materials combined with symmetry analysis.
